What is a case converter?

A case converter changes the capital and small letters in your text without retyping it. Paste the text, click a button and the whole passage switches to UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case and more.

It is most useful when you typed a paragraph with Caps Lock on, need to tidy a list of headings, or want consistent capitalisation before pasting text into a spreadsheet, a document or code.

When to use each case

  • UPPER CASE: acronyms, warning labels and short headings.
  • lower case: email addresses, web addresses, hashtags, and data you want to compare without capitals getting in the way.
  • Capitalized Case: names and product titles where every word starts with a capital.
  • Title Case: headlines, blog post titles and book names, where small words like "of" and "the" stay lowercase.
  • Sentence case: paragraphs, button text and most modern headings.
  • aLtErNaTiNg and iNVERSE cASE: memes, social posts and playful text.
